THE TECHNOLOGY

Three stages. One clean stream.

The Lai Pulo Integrated Treatment System combines electro-catalytic oxidation, sludge separation and membrane polishing into a single modular, skid-mounted train that scales to virtually any flow rate.

STAGE 01 · PRIMARY TREATMENT

EC-AOP

ELECTRO-CATALYTIC ADVANCED OXIDATION

A patented electrochemical process generates powerful oxidizers in-situ to break down hydrocarbons, organics and pathogens, while capturing suspended solids and metals — without a single treatment chemical. Operates across a 100–3,600 A current range.

STAGE 02 · SLUDGE SEPARATION

Floc Tank / DAF

FLOCCULATION & SEDIMENTATION

A four-compartment floc tank (or dissolved-air flotation unit) aggregates and settles the fine solids produced upstream. The result is a smaller, shear-resistant sludge that dewaters easily — unlike chemically coagulated sludge.

STAGE 03 · POLISHING

Reverse Osmosis

MEMBRANE POLISHING

Final membrane treatment removes dissolved salts (TDS) and any residual contaminants, bringing brine-laden Niger Delta water to discharge — or reuse — quality.

The key advantage

Process means no reagent dosing, no chemical sludge, lower OPEX and a materially stronger ESG profile — built into the technology, not bolted on.

Lai Pulo Powered by EC-AOP

Our capabilities are built on LOTIC’s patented Electro-Catalytic Advanced Oxidation Process (EC-AOP) — a breakthrough, chemical-free water treatment technology.

Electro-Catalytic Advanced Oxidation

Electrochemical oxidation breaks down hydrocarbons, organics, and pathogens without chemicals. Operates at 100 – 3,600A current density.

Flocculation & Sedimentation

250-barrel 4-compartment tank aggregates and settles fine suspended solids and residual contaminants post EC-AOP treatment.

Reverse Osmosis Polishing

Membrane-based final treatment removes dissolved salts (TDS) and residual contaminants, achieving discharge-quality water.

How Lai Pulo EC-AOP System Works

01

Organic compounds

Organic compounds are carbon-based substances found in wastewater from industrial processes, oil operations, and biological materials.

02

Hydrocarbons

Hydrocarbons are chemical compounds made of hydrogen and carbon, commonly found in crude oil, fuels, and petroleum products.

03

Heavy Metals

Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic are toxic contaminants that can accumulate in water and living organisms.

04

PFAS Precursors

PFAS precursors are chemicals that can break down into PFAS (“forever chemicals”), which persist in the environment and resist natural degradation.

05

Pathogens

Pathogens are harmful microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and parasites, that can contaminate water and cause diseases.

06

Suspended Solids

Suspended solids are tiny particles of dirt, silt, organic matter, and other materials floating in water.

Key Advantage (Placeholder)

At the core of our operations is a portfolio of chemical-free, high-performance water treatment systems powered by next-generation EC-AOP technology. This patented process allows us to break down complex contaminants—hydrocarbons, heavy metals, pathogens, and suspended solids—without harsh chemicals or excessive energy use.

By transforming polluted water into reusable, environmentally safe resources, we enable industries to conserve fresh water, reduce waste volumes, and adopt more circular, sustainable operations. Our mobile, modular, and scalable systems are designed for rugged industrial environments, ensuring fast deployment and reliable performance across diverse project sites.

With Lai Pulo Energy Services, clean water is not just an outcome—it is a pathway to safer operations, stronger environmental compliance, and a cleaner future for communities across Africa.
